I’m a songwriter and producer now based between Umbria Italy, Oakland California, and Brussels. EPIQE is a playground to explore my musical curiosity, and document my songwriting while collaborating with brilliant artists to craft my take on original modern/classic songs. Born in Detroit and raised on 12 Mile Road, I moved to Italy at 10. Inevitably, the raw edge of American rock and European sensibilities wove into my music. At 16 my favorite local punk pop band (IS4I) needed a drummer so I borrowed a kit, learned the basics and landed the gig. A few year later I moved to San Francisco then Oakland and after fronting a few different bands, I created the project EPIQE. In 2016, I teamed up with Jane Wiedlin of The Go-Go’s to form a songwriting partnership, turned friendship and eventually into the band Elettrodomestico. Our debut If You’re a Boy or a Girl (2017) and follow-up ED (2025) fuse indie rock, synths, and identity themes. Live, we rocked with heavyweights like Dawn Richardson (4 Non Blondes), Joe Gore (Tom Waits, PJ Harvey, Tracy Chapman). I’ve been lucky to work with these talents and more: Kate Pierson (B-52’s), Mark Stoermer (The Killers), and Eric McFadden (Bo Diddly, Les Claypool) and of course, my pal, recording wizard Travis Kasperbauer with whom many records were produced together.
